UAE Weather Alert: The UAE is forecast to have slightly cooler weather in the coming days, providing relief to inhabitants after weeks of extreme summer heat. The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) predicts that temperatures in various coastal locations will progressively fall through Sunday, while increased winds and adverse sea conditions may affect sections of the Arabian Gulf.
According to weather forecasters, conditions across the country will be mostly fair, with occasional clouds rising over eastern coastal areas in the morning. In some coastal areas, humidity levels are predicted to climb at night and in the early morning. Authorities cautioned homeowners and fishermen to be cautious since wind speeds could exceed 40km/h in open regions and at sea.
The latest weather update comes as the UAE prepares for the peak summer season, when temperatures in inland areas frequently exceed 45°C. While the projected dip is not significant, meteorologists say even a minor decrease might make outdoor conditions more comfortable for inhabitants, particularly in coastal areas like Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah.
UAE Weather Update Brings Cooler Coastal Conditions and Windy Days
Forecasts indicate that coastal and interior regions may see temperatures ranging from 38°C to 43°C during the weekend, while mountainous areas may remain relatively cold, with highs ranging from 32° to 37°C. The NCM also mentioned that northwesterly winds can become vigorous at times, resulting in blowing dust in open desert areas and impaired visibility on some roadways.
Sea conditions in the Arabian Gulf are forecast to develop moderate to rough by Sunday and Monday. Officials urged small boats and marine operators to carefully heed weather advisories before entering the ocean. Meanwhile, the Oman Sea is forecast to be mild to moderate.
Weather scientists believe the cooling trend is due to shifting wind patterns over the region. Similar weather systems earlier this year brought light rain, dust, and brief temperature decreases to regions of the UAE. Forecasters believe these brief milder periods are frequent throughout seasonal transitions before the intense summer heat sets in.
UAE Weather Forecast Offers Temporary Relief Before Summer Peak
Residents on social media praised the colder weather, particularly those who work outside during the day. Many individuals believe the somewhat lower temperatures will make evening walks, beach excursions, and outdoor activities more enjoyable during the weekend.
Despite the milder weather, health professionals continue to encourage citizens to exercise caution. The UAE’s environment is extremely hot during the daytime hours, and dehydration risks increase as humidity rises toward the coast. Authorities recommend drinking plenty of water, avoiding direct sunlight during peak afternoon hours, and dressing lightly when outdoors.
The UAE’s weather patterns frequently change in late May and early June as the country approaches the hottest months of the year. According to climatic data, coastal humidity and desert winds frequently cause unstable circumstances, such as dust storms and rough seas.
Although the cooler weather will only last a few days, inhabitants are anticipated to enjoy a brief respite from the extreme heat before summer temperatures rise across the country.
