UAE US Sudan Truce: UAE Welcomes US Call for Immediate Humanitarian Ceasefire

The UAE has welcomed a US statement calling for an immediate and unconditional humanitarian truce in Sudan. Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Minister of State, said the UAE supports efforts aimed at ending the conflict and moving Sudan toward a civilian-led government through political dialogue.

The US statement also advocated for a thorough political process to help end the war. The UAE reiterated its commitment to working with international partners to achieve a political settlement and alleviate Sudanese suffering.

UAE Supports US Efforts for Sudan Truce

He applauded the work of US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Dr. Massad Boulos, the US Senior Advisor for Arab and African Affairs. According to the UAE, both officials have been working to persuade the parties to cease hostilities and increase the chances of a political solution.
