Trump Saudi Nuclear Deal : President Donald Trump has stated that the recently announced civilian nuclear agreement between the United States and Saudi Arabia will only proceed if the country signs the Abraham Accords and establishes diplomatic relations with Israel. In a post on Truth Social, Trump stated that the pact “will be approved” but is “totally subject” to Saudi Arabia joining the Abraham Accords. The Abraham Accords, announced during Trump’s first term in 2020, prompted the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Morocco, and Sudan to establish or commit to diplomatic relations with Israel. Both the Trump and Biden administrations have urged Saudi Arabia to join the framework.
