ICC sanctions: Trump team plans action against court as global developments unfold

The proposed measures could restrict most transactions involving the court after a six-to-seven-month grace period.

ICC sanctions plan and other international developments

The Trump administration is considering sanctions against the International Criminal Court over its arrest warrants for Israeli leaders and investigations into alleged US military operations in Afghanistan. The restrictions may have a broad impact on the court’s financial and other transactions.

In Italy, Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni intends to prohibit burqas and niqabs in schools.
