Dubai Police SOS Call Leads to Rescue of Woman in Critical Condition

A Dubai Police SOS Call from Australia helped authorities locate and rescue a woman in Dubai who was in critical condition. Police used phone-tracing information, family details, a recent photograph and help from a building security guard to find her.

The issue began when an Australian expatriate in Dubai received an urgent call from a colleague back home. The coworker was concerned about a female relative in Dubai who apparently stated that she was in a really bad emotional state and feared she would harm herself.

Her family was also concerned because she had attempted self-harm twice before, once in Australia and once in UAE.

Dubai Police SOS Call Triggers Emergency Search

The Dubai resident immediately contacted the Dubai Police Command and Control Center, sharing all relevant information about the woman. Officers attempted to call her, but she did not respond.

Police then utilized the information associated with her mobile phone to determine a likely location. A police patrol and ambulance were dispatched to the address, but when they arrived, they were unable to locate the woman.

Officers continued to search for more information. They called the woman’s father in Australia, who gave them the address where his daughter had lived around a year ago. He also expressed concern about her condition and the possibility of a safety issue.

Previous data did not immediately help investigators pinpoint her location. A duty officer then instructed the father to transmit a recent photograph of his daughter via a messaging app.

The photograph provided officers with a vital new technique to identify her. Police distributed it to patrol supervisors and policemen working in the area so they could see if anyone recognized her.

Security Guard Helps Dubai Police Locate Woman

The hunt was interrupted when a security guard at one of the buildings recognized the woman in the photos. He informed authorities that she shared a room in the building with another person.

Police police and an ambulance team arrived at the residence right away. They discovered the woman in severe condition after she allegedly consumed a huge quantity of tablets in an attempt to end her life.

Emergency personnel administered first aid at the site before transporting her to Rashid Hospital for immediate care. Doctors were successful in saving her life.

After her condition stabilized, Dubai Police contacted her father in Australia to inform him that his daughter was safe and receiving medical treatment.
