UAE Weather Forecast : The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) predicts sandy weather and increased winds in the UAE throughout the coming weekend. Authorities have cautioned that blowing sand may restrict vision in some open locations, and water conditions in the Arabian Gulf may become turbulent.
Weather experts predict that the country will continue to experience fair to partly overcast skies over the next few days, but conditions are expected to shift as the weekend approaches. Wind speeds are expected to steadily increase, particularly in western and coastal regions, resulting in dusty conditions in numerous places.
Dusty UAE Weather conditions may affect travel and outdoor activities
The NCM predicted northwesterly and southeasterly winds to reach speeds of about 35 km/h, with greater gusts forecast in exposed desert areas. These winds may carry sand and dust into the air, reducing visibility for motorists on highways and open roadways. Residents have been asked to use caution while travelling, particularly during peak wind periods.
Over the weekend, marine conditions are likely to become more unpredictable. The Arabian Gulf may suffer moderate to rough seas, whilst the Oman Sea is expected to stay mild to moderate. Fishermen and small boat operators have been advised to stay up to date on weather conditions before venturing out into the sea.
According to experts, dusty weather occurs frequently during seasonal wind shifts in the Gulf region. These powerful desert winds frequently transport small sand particles across highways and communities, causing hazy skies and respiratory discomfort for some individuals. People with allergies or asthma should use masks and avoid prolonged outdoor exposure during dusty hours.
Strong UAE Weather winds expected as temperatures stay high
Along with the sandy conditions, temperatures in the UAE are forecast to stay high. Inland areas may continue to see temperatures above 40°C, while coastal towns may see humid nights and early morning mist in some parts next week.
Despite the harsh weather conditions, authorities have yet to report any serious inconveniences. Residents are reminded to follow official weather forecasts and take precautions when driving or planning outdoor events. Schools, delivery services, and construction activities in some regions may also experience minor delays if vision is abruptly reduced due to blowing dust.
During the seasonal shift, the UAE’s desert weather patterns frequently change. Meteorologists predict the present weather system will last into early next week before conditions return to normal.
