UAE Weather : The United Arab Emirates is bracing for hot summer weather for the Eid Al Adha celebrations, with temperatures expected to reach 47°C in some interior locations. According to the National Center of Meteorology (NCM), the country will have scorching daytime temperatures, humid evenings, and the possibility of mist forming in coastal areas during the holiday week.
According to weather officials, temperatures in the UAE’s interior might range between 42°C and 47°C, while coastal and island regions could see highs of 36°C to 43°C. Temperatures in the mountains are forecast to stay quite cold, ranging from 30°C to 36°C. Light to moderate winds are also expected, with speeds of up to 35 km/h in isolated regions.
UAE Weather Forecast Brings Extreme Heat Warning
The NCM stated that the weather will be largely fair to partly cloudy for Eid Al Adha. However, humidity levels are predicted to rise during the late night and early morning hours, particularly in coastal areas. This may cause mist and fog to build in some areas, decreasing motorist vision in the early hours.
Authorities have recommended residents to avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight during peak afternoon hours as summer heat continues to rise across the country. Health professionals also advised drinking plenty of water and staying indoors during the warmest parts of the day.
The updated projection comes as the UAE experiences one of its warmest periods of the year, ahead of the formal summer season in late June. Daytime temperatures in cities such as Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Al Ain are forecast to be high during the holidays.
Rising UAE Eid Weather Temperatures Could Affect Outdoor Activities
The scorching weather may have an impact on outdoor Eid gatherings, travel arrangements, and public celebrations throughout the UAE. Families planning desert treks, beach visits, or outdoor prayers can expect difficult daytime circumstances owing to increased temperatures and humidity.
Despite the severe temperatures, sea conditions in the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea are expected to remain mild, providing stable conditions for marine activity. Winds are forecast to remain largely moderate throughout the week.
Meteorologists also anticipated a minor drop in temperatures over the weekend, although overall weather conditions are expected to stay stable across the Emirates. The Gulf region experiences seasonal summer heat, but scientists say rising temperatures and prolonged heatwaves have been more noticeable in recent years.
Residents and tourists are being asked to constantly watch weather updates during the Eid holidays, as authorities continue to monitor circumstances throughout the country.
