UAE Weather: Temperatures to Reach 44°C as Fog Risk Returns

UAE weather is expected to remain hot on Friday, September 18, with temperatures forecast to climb as high as 44°C in Liwa. Dubai could reach 40°C, while higher humidity overnight may lead to fog or mist in some parts of the country.

The National Center of Meteorology predicts fair to partly overcast weather throughout the next several days. Low clouds are also anticipated to form over the east coast, with breezes remaining light to moderate.

UAE Weather Forecast for Friday

Liwa is forecast to have the maximum temperature of 44°C, followed by Al Ain at 43°C, while Abu Dhabi, Umm Al Quwain, and Ras Al Khaimah might all reach 41°C.

Dubai and Sharjah are expected to have highs of 40°C. Ajman may reach 39°C, while Fujairah is likely to be somewhat colder at 38°C.

Temperatures will drop overnight, but the weather will remain warm and humid. Abu Dhabi may have a low of 29°C, while Dubai may remain around 30°C. Sharjah and Liwa temperatures are expected to decrease to 26°C.

Several places, including Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Fujairah, may see humidity levels as high as 85 percent. The combination of high humidity and nighttime weather may result in fog or mist in several coastal and interior areas.

Drivers may have limited visibility in impacted locations, especially in the early morning hours. Mist is anticipated to remain throughout the weekend.

UAE Weather Outlook Through Monday

Friday’s winds will begin in the southeast and travel to the northwest. Speeds are forecast to stay between 10 and 20 km/h, with gusts up to 30 km/h.

The Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman will continue to have mild sea conditions.

A similar trend is forecast on Saturday, September 19, with fair to partly overcast sky and low clouds along the east coast. Humidity will rise overnight, raising the possibility of mist in certain coastal locations by Sunday morning.

The possibility of fog or mist is anticipated to persist on Sunday nite and into Monday morning, with coastal and interior locations perhaps impacted. A similar trend is expected from Monday nite into Tuesday morning.

Winds are forecast to blow from the southeast to the northeast at 10-20 km/h, with gusts up to 30 km/h. The Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman are both forecast to be calm throughout this time.
