UAE Passport Power 2026 : The UAE passport has risen eight places to second overall and first in the Middle East on Henley & Partners’ 2026 list of the world’s most powerful passports.

Emirati passport holders can now visit 187 countries without a prior visa. From 38th in 2016 to its present ranking, where it shares second place with South Korea and Japan, the passport has risen 36 spots over the last ten years.

The position is based on the number of places to which passport holders can travel without a visa, using official statistics from the International Air Transport Association.

Singapore remained the world leader, with visa-free travel to 192 countries. It is followed by the United Arab Emirates, Japan, and South Korea in shared second place.

Sweden finished third, followed by Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Spain, and Switzerland. Austria, Greece, Malta, and Portugal came in fifth place.
