Pune Woman Found Dead : A 34-year-old woman was discovered dead inside her leased residence in Pune after returning to India from London without informing her relatives. After losing communication, her relatives started looking for her, and food delivery transactions eventually assisted detectives in locating her in a Gahunje apartment complex.
Originally from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, the woman, Mugdha Deshmukh, traveled to the UK in July of last year to pursue an MBA. While she was in the UK, she worked part-time and lived alone.
Her family has been in touch with her via texts and phone conversations. On October 24, however, their attempts to contact her were unsuccessful, and her phone was turned off.
Her parents phoned a friend in London because they were worried about her absence. According to the acquaintance, she last communicated with Mugdha on October 22.
Pune Woman’s Food Delivery Records Help Trace Her Location
The London-based buddy informed the local police that Mugdha was gone. However, officials informed her that Mugdha had departed the United Kingdom at the end of August.
Her family then requested assistance from Indian officials and the Indian High Commission to determine her whereabouts. During the hunt, her father reviewed her bank accounts and discovered multiple meal delivery transactions between October 8 and October 25.
Some of the transactions were related to the Osamanpura neighborhood of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. The data led the family to believe Mugdha had returned to India, despite not alerting them of her arrival.
The information helped focus attention on her likely location. Police eventually tracked her down at the Lodha Belmondo residential complex in Gahunje, Pune.
Officers proceeded to the flat where Mugdha was staying. According to authorities, they entered the flat with the help of a keymaker and discovered her body inside.
Shirgaon Police Senior Inspector Devendra Chavan in Pimpri Chinchwad said that authorities had found her in the residential complex. Police also stated that there were no evident injury signs on her body.
Pune Woman’s Death Under Police Investigation
Investigators discovered that Mugdha rented the flat in April but began residing there in August. The circumstances surrounding her death are still being investigated, and officials have said that more inquiries are underway.
Her family was originally concerned about her absence after she stopped responding to calls and messages. When her relatives discovered that she had fled the UK, they sought aid from Indian officials.
Bank records revealed another lead. Transactions related to food delivery in October gave the family cause to suspect she was back in India, directing the hunt to Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar and Pune.
Police then tracked her down to Gahunje, where they discovered her death inside a rented flat. Officers observed the absence of apparent damage marks, but the available evidence does not indicate the cause of death.
Authorities have not revealed more information about what transpired inside the residence or the circumstances surrounding her death. The inquiry is ongoing to determine the facts of the case.
Police have verified the finding of Mugdha’s corpse as well as the place where she had been residing. Further results from the current inquiry are likely to shed light on the circumstances surrounding her death.
