Canada flight training accident: Two Indian students killed in air crash

Two Indian students were killed in a Canada flight training accident, according to the Consulate General of India in Vancouver. The students were identified as Manoj Sivakumar from Tamil Nadu and Srisaran Thirugnanasambantham from Puducherry.

The Indian consulate acknowledged the fatalities on Sunday, local time, and extended condolences to the two students’ families. The circumstances behind the collision are currently under investigation.

According to local media and aviation officials, the event occurred while on a training flight. Canadian search and rescue personnel and local law enforcement have launched investigations to determine what happened before to the disaster.

The event occurs while Canadian authorities investigate a separate aircraft disaster involving a flying school-operated Cessna 172.

Harv’s Air, a flight school in St Andrews, Manitoba, operated the aircraft. It crashed near Kisbey, Saskatchewan, early Friday morning, according to CBC.

Both passengers on board died in the crash. The plane was carrying two licensed pilots on a nite cross-country flight from Regina to Steinbach, Manitoba, with a scheduled stop in Carlyle, Saskatchewan.

Two pilots were building flight hours

According to CBC, the two pilots rented the aircraft as they worked toward the flight hours required for their commercial pilot licence. The report cites information provided by Har’s Air president Adam Penner.

The aeroplane was reported to the Transportation Safety Board of Canada when it failed to arrive at its intended location by 10:30 a.m. Central Daylight Time.

Investigators are looking into the circumstances of the other incident, and police are still gathering information about the two Indian students’ fatalities.
