US Police ; On Sunday, a man being questioned by police at a suburban Atlanta hotel shot two policemen after inviting them into his room, killing one and badly injuring the other, according to authorities.
One of the officers shot the shooting suspect, who is undergoing medical treatment and is expected to live, according to Gwinnett County Police Chief JD McClure.
The shooting occurred Sunday morning near Stone Mountain, about 25 miles (40 kilometers) northeast of Atlanta. The officers were summoned to the hotel after a caller from another state claimed that someone had fraudulently used their credit card there, according to a statement from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. According to the agency, the front desk clerk pointed the officers to the person’s room where the credit card was used.
According to McClure, the man met cops at his room door and encouraged them inside.

McClure identified the shooter as Kevin Andrews, a 35-year-old Decatur, Georgia resident. It was unclear whether Andrews had an attorney who could comment on his behalf.
