Royal Enfield Classic 650 Hypershift Launched at Rs 4.26 Lakh

Royal Enfield has launched the Classic 650 Hypershift in India to commemorate the motorbike brand’s 125th anniversary. Priced at Rs 4,25,589 (ex-showroom), this special edition will be made in restricted quantities, with only 125 units assigned to each important location internationally.

Registrations begin at 2 PM IST on October 16 and will stay open until the sale day on October 28. Deliveries are planned to begin in November 2026.

The motorcycle’s most appealing feature is its color-changing finish, which changes between red, green, and gold depending on the light. Royal Enfield has also included special anniversary touches to set this model apart from the normal Classic 650.

Royal Enfield Classic 650 Hypershift Gets a Special Design

The Hypershift version takes influence from Royal Enfield’s early motorcycles, which date back to 1901. The fuel tank, side panels, mudguards, and headlamp housing all feature a brass-based finish with rich hues and gold tones.

Black engine and exhaust components contrast with the multicoloured exterior. The fuel tank also has hand-painted pinstripes around its core black part, which contributes to the motorcycle’s distinguishing design.

A commemorative cannon decal rests atop the tank, while a gold-finished crest honouring 125 years appears on the side panel. These design aspects offer the anniversary model a distinct individuality.

The motorcycle has a brown leather seat with a quilted pattern and gold details. Its features include an LED headlamp, an LED taillight, and a USB Type-C charging connector. However, conventional bulbs are still used for turn indicators.

Royal Enfield has kept some traditional style elements, including as wire-spoke wheels and rounded mirrors. Twin exhausts that are blacked out complete the overall design.

The company has limited manufacture to 125 units per important location worldwide, making the Hypershift a special-edition model rather than a normal addition to the Classic 650 lineup.

Royal Enfield Classic 650 Engine and Specifications

The anniversary edition’s mechanical arrangement is the same as the standard Classic 650. It has a 647.95cc, fuel-injected, SOHC parallel-twin engine that generates 47 PS at 7,250 rpm and 52.3 Nm of torque at 5,650 rpm.

A wet multi-plate clutch is used in conjunction with a six-speed gearbox. For this special version, Royal Enfield made no mechanical adjustments.

A 320mm front disc and a 300mm rear disc serve as the braking system. Both employ twin-piston floating callipers, and dual-channel ABS is provided.

The motorcycle has a 19-inch front wheel and an 18-inch rear wheel. It has front and rear tyres measuring 100/90 and 140/70 respectively.

The Classic 650 Hypershift features an 800mm seat height, 154mm of ground clearance, and a wheelbase of 1,475mm. Its fuel tank holds 14.7 litres, and it weighs 243kg with 90% fuel and oil.

The Hypershift, with its custom painting, anniversary insignia, and limited manufacturing, emphasises distinctive design while retaining the existing Classic 650 engine and hardware.
