CJP Tiranga March Today: The party has requested that supporters congregate at Central Park in Connaught Place, despite the fact that the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) has announced that the area will be closed for two days.
Dipke said during a press conference late Thursday that police officers were tracking his whereabouts. He stated that he dreaded being detained overnight or on Friday morning, but that the scheduled flag-waving protest will proceed peacefully.
The march is part of the CJP campaign against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. The party has accused officials of anomalies in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of election rolls and demanded Kumar’s resignation.
CJP Tiranga March Faces Restrictions in Delhi
Dipke defended the party’s plan to wave the national flag, saying it was willing to face legal penalties if it resulted in arrest. He also questioned the decision to close Central Park prior to the gathering.
He contended that closing one location would not preclude the party from holding demonstrations elsewhere. Dipke suggested conducting flag-waving events in 100 locations, but questioned if officials would close each one.
In a post on X, the CJP founder said that plainclothes police had encircled the location where he was staying. He also said that officers were following him in a white Scorpio.
These assertions were made a day before the scheduled rally at Connaught Place. The NDMC’s two-day closure of Central Park has increased the limitations surrounding the scheduled demonstration.
The Delhi Police have encouraged people to avoid the gathering, citing prohibitory orders and claiming that Connaught Place is not an officially authorised protest place. However, the police stated that a small group could be authorised to wave the national flag and sing the national song in a suitable area.
CJP Tiranga March Linked to SIR Row
The planned protest is linked to the CJP’s allegations about the alteration of election records. The party says that more than 13 crore voters were eliminated during the Special Intensive Revision process and has asked Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar to quit.
The party has raised these data and charges as part of its campaign. The material presented does not establish them as independently verified findings.
The projected march also follows the judicial detention of two CJP leaders, Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka. They were taken into jail after entering Jantar Mantar and raising slogans calling for Kumar’s resignation.
The latest protest plot comes as Dipke insists that the party will continue to wave the Tricolour despite the announced venue closure and police restrictions. His comments show that he is willing to face detention if authorities take action against the assembly.
The Delhi Police have specified restrictions on the scheduled event, while leaving open the possibility of authorising a restricted flag-waving program at a suitable place. The available information does not clarify whether the planned march will take place as planned or if Dipke will be imprisoned.
