Reasons Why Google Launched Flex in India
According to Google, India now has only 50 million credit card holders, despite having hundreds of millions of UPI users. Flex wants to close this gap by making credit card services more accessible, especially to people who use UPI but do not have a traditional credit card. With RuPay, UPI, and digital onboarding, Google and Axis Bank are reaching out to a far larger audience.

Flex by Google Pay has begun its launch phase as of Wednesday. Users who are concerned about acquiring this app can sign up using the Google Pay app and join a waiting. Google has confirmed a broader launch in India in a few months.
