According to a statement made by the UAE’s National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority, “UAE air defences are currently responding to a missile threat.”
Following the commencement of the emergency, “people have been told to remain in a safe location” to safeguard their safety while security forces deal with the problem.
Residents are also asked to “monitor official channels of information for warnings and updates” while authorities provide real-time guidance during the current threat.
This current escalation followed a tremendous onslaught on Wednesday, in which UAE air defence systems successfully intercepted 13 missiles, including “six ballistic missiles and seven cruise missiles,” as well as 39 drones fired from Iran, according to Gulf News.
