UAE Air Defence Intercepts : Twelve ballistic missiles, two cruise missiles, and nineteen unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) launched from Iran were intercepted by the UAE’s air defenses on Monday, April 6, 2026, according to the UAE Ministry of Defense.
UAE air defenses have intercepted 519 ballistic missiles, 26 cruise missiles, and 2,210 drones since the beginning of the overt Iranian strikes.
Four minor, moderate, and severe injuries were sustained as a result of these attacks, bringing the total number of injuries to 221. Emirati, Egyptian, Sudanese, Ethiopian, Filipino, Pakistani, Iranian, Indian, Bangladeshi, Sri Lankan, Azerbaijani, Yemeni, Ugandan, Eritrean, Lebanese, Afghan, Bahraini, Comorian, Turkish, Iraqi, Nepalese, Nigerian, Omani, Jordanian, Palestinian, Ghanaian, Indonesian, Swedish, Tunisian, Moroccan, and Russian are among the injured.
There were no deaths or martyrdom cases reported in the last few hours. Since the beginning of the strikes, there have been two martyrs, as well as one Moroccan civilian contractor working with the UAE Armed Forces.
The total number of civilian fatalities is ten, including Pakistanis, Nepalese, Bangladeshis, Palestinians, Indians, and Egyptians among them.
The United Arab Emirates is once again in the spotlight, following a serious security event that sparked both confidence and alarm. The most recent report demonstrates how terrible the situation has become in the region.
UAE air defence stops missile attack in strong response
The UAE Ministry of Defence confirmed that air defence systems successfully intercepted 12 ballistic missiles, two cruise missiles, and 19 drones launched at the country. This action saved significant damage and demonstrated outstanding defensive preparation.
This comes as tensions in the Middle East are rapidly escalating. According to reports, these attacks are linked to the continuing confrontation with Iran, with multiple strikes taking place since late February.

On the positive side, the UAE’s defense system was effective. Intercepting numerous attacks in one day demonstrates advanced technology and rapid response. Officials also confirmed that no deaths were reported in the most recent event, demonstrating good protection for civilians.
However, the scenario raises severe concerns. Continuous attacks imply that the threat is not over. Since the battle began, hundreds of missiles and drones have been intercepted, demonstrating how frequent and intense these strikes have become.
There were a few ground hits. In some places, falling debris caused injuries and minor damage. Industrial operations were also disrupted in several zones due to safety concerns following interceptions.
Experts believe that, while defense systems are strong, long-term stability depends on lowering regional tensions. Military success alone cannot address the problem.
At the same time, the UAE continues to demonstrate that it is prepared for any eventuality. Authorities have stated that defense troops are still on high alert and ready to respond to future threats.
This combination of strong defense and increased risk complicates the situation. For the time being, the UAE has managed to defend its territory, but persistent attacks continue to put the region under pressure.
Finally, this tragedy sends a clear message: while the UAE is powerful and prepared, the risk in the region remains very real.
