UAE Air Defences Respond to Iran Missile, Drone Threats; Residents Told Safe

Dubai: On Thursday, drone and missile threats were intercepted by UAE air defence systems, and authorities subsequently confirmed that the country is now safe.

According to the UAE Ministry of Defence

The most recent reaction, according to the Ministry of Defence, was the activation of air defences against Iranian drone and missile threats at 5:24 p.m. According to the ministry, interception efforts were the cause of the noises reported in some locations.

Residents were issued an emergency notice earlier in the day at 7.34 a.m. following reports of loud noises in several sections of the nation. Authorities verified that air defence systems intercepting drones and missiles were the source of those noises.

Residents were instructed to relocate to the closest secure facility, stay away from windows, doors and open spaces, wait for additional orders and rely on official channels for up-to-date information.

Authorities confirmed that the situation had been under control by sending out a follow-up mobile alert at 7:53 a.m. Officials thanked the public for their assistance during the emergency and informed them that it was safe to return to regular routines.
