The Nexo received a 76% rating in the category of vulnerable road users. Its autonomous emergency braking technology was effective for pedestrians, cyclists, and motorcyclists. The SUV also has an active bonnet that deploys following a crash to lessen injury severity, and related testing were performed with this feature activated.
