Los Angeles [US]: Israeli producer Dana Eden, recognised for her work on Apple TV’s smash series ‘Tehran,’ died abruptly while shooting Season 4 in Greece, Variety said.

Eden’s specific cause of death is still unknown. However, her production business, Shula and Donna Productions, which she co-founded with fellow ‘Tehran’ producer Shula Spiegel, has denied any political motive for her death.According to Variety, the production firm would like to explain that speculations of a criminal or nationally motivated death are false and utterly unjustified.

Eden has received numerous compliments and sympathies on social media, including from Israeli national broadcaster Kan.We are devastated by the death of Dana Eden, a friend and collaborator on numerous productions, series, and programs at the Israel Broadcasting Corporation. Dana was a major figure in the Israeli television business, and she played a key role in the development and leadership of some of the corporation’s most well-known and influential shows,” Kan said, according to Variety.

The channel also stated that the fourth season of ‘Tehran’ is presently being recorded in Greece, where Eden has personally arrived to supervise.

Dana Eden was well-known for her work on all episodes of “Tehran,” a popular Apple TV series about an Israeli Mossad spy of Iranian Jewish origin.

The cast includes Niv Sultan, Glenn Close, and Hugh Laurie.
Her other credits include ‘Girl’, ‘Woman’, ‘The Prosecution’, and ‘Magpie’.

The statement also mentioned Eden’s active participation in the show’s fourth season production in Greece. “The fourth season of the series is presently filming in Greece, a complex and big production that Dana has come to closely observe. Meanwhile, investigations are ongoing to ascertain the reason of her death. According to Deadline, Dana Eden was discovered lifeless in a hotel room by her brother on Sunday. The case is currently being investigated as a suicide based on evidence and testimony.

The local police have issued an autopsy order.
