This is an opportunity for schools that have yet to complete the LOC form for their pupils. The board took this action because many schools were unable to submit the forms within the time limit.

Important Dates for Submission of the LOC Form

  • Normal Submission: The deadline is now October 8, 2025.
  • Forms may be submitted with a late charge until October 11, 2025.
  • The board has issued explicit instructions that schools that fail to submit the LOC form on time will incur full responsibility. Students from such schools will be ineligible to sit for the Board Exam 2026.

How Do I Submit the LOC Form?

Schools can submit the form by entering their students’ names and other relevant information on the official website cbse.gov.in within the time frame allowed.

When do the CBSE 2026 Board Exams start?

The board has issued a preliminary datesheet for Classes 10 and 12. According to it, the tests will begin on February 17, 2026. The Class 10 board examinations will conclude on March 9, 2026, and the Class 12 board exams will end on April 9, 2026. Most topics’ exams run from 10:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Some topics’ exams run from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.

How many students will appear in the CBSE Board Exam 2026?

In 2026, nearly 4.5 million students will sit their Class 10 and 12 exams. These students will come from 26 different nations, including various Indian states. There will be exams in 204 different disciplines. CBSE has asked schools to complete the LOC form on time and make appropriate use of the late fee facility. Failure to submit the form may interfere with students’ ability to take the exam.
