Meerut : For the first time, Uttar Pradesh will conduct village-level job fairs, providing significant chances for unemployed youth in rural areas. The push will begin in September in the Meerut division, with private enterprises conducting recruitments under the supervision of the Employment Department.

Approximately 8,000 applicants are likely to be hired in Ghaziabad, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Bulandshahr, Baghpat, Hapur, and Meerut. There will be 40 block-level fairs, each with 5-10 enterprises participating. Selected candidates will be given appointment letters on the spot.

Eligibility varies by sector, ranging from Class 8 to postgraduate level. Jobs are available in packaging, building, sales, mechanical professions, and the security industry, among others. According to officials, starting salary will range from Rs 15,000 to Rs 35,000 per month, depending on qualifications and interview performance.
