Indian Navy head Admiral Dinesh K. Tripathi warned Pakistan on Sunday that Operation Sindoor is “still ongoing” and that anything related to the operation is “best avoided.” He said this following the laying of the foundation stone for the Indian Navy Maritime Museum honoring Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in Pune, Maharashtra.
Admiral Tripathi further emphasized that the navy’s prompt deployment of its resources during Operation Sindoor, which kept Pakistan’s fleet inside its harbors, underlined the navy’s ongoing readiness. He said that when the world’s oceans are “rough,” people look for a “steady lighthouse,” and that India, as a responsible country, can fill that role on the international scene.

Indian Navy is well-known for its combat
“The Indian Navy is well-known for its combat readiness, and we always prepare for fight, no matter how far and few in between. But what has changed now? Conflicts now occur without warning, ushering in a perpetual readiness paradigm for our posture and preparedness.

“This operation demonstrated the Navy’s constant readiness posture, wherein the swift deployment of our platforms, conduct of multiple weapon firings within 96 hours of the dastardly Pahalgam attack, aggressive manoeuvring, and pressure of the presence of the carrier battle group in the northern Indian Sea ensured that the Pakistan Navy remained close to their coast or within their harbours,” he went on.

India started Operation Sindoor April 22
India started Operation Sindoor earlier this year to avenge the April 22 terrorist attack in Pahalgam, which killed 26 people, the majority of whom were tourists. India and Pakistan stopped hostilities on May 10, following four days of conflict in which the two countries heavily used drones. However, India has repeatedly warned that it will resume Operation Sindoor if Pakistan engages in any misbehavior.
Admiral Tripathi’s statements came after Defence Minister Rajnath Singh issued a same statement warning Pakistan against any misadventure. In his speech at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) in Mussoorie, Uttarakhand, Singh praised the India Armed Forces’ synergy and cited Operation Sindoor as a “brilliant example” of civil-military cooperation.
