Israel Strikes Iran : In the midst of rising tensions in the Middle East, Iran’s Defence Minister Amir Nasirzadeh and Revolutionary Guards commander Mohammed Pakpour are believed to have been killed in Israeli attacks, according to reports on Saturday. The news comes as the US and Israel launch a major offensive on Iran on Saturday, with President Donald Trump urging the Iranian people to “seize control of your destiny” and rise up against the Islamic regime that has ruled the country since 1979.

It will be yours to take. “This will most likely be your only chance in generations,” Trump said in a video announcing “major combat operations” were started. “You’ve been asking America for help for years, but you’ve never gotten it.

In response to Israeli strikes in Tehran, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reiterated a broad purpose. “Our joint operation will create the conditions for the brave Iranian people to take their fate into their own hands,” Mr. Netanyahu stated.

The strikes marked a dramatic new chapter in US participation in Iran, and it was the Trump administration’s second use of military force against the Islamic Republic in eight months.

Trump wants to limit Iran’s nuclear project.

Iran replied as it has threatened for months, first releasing a barrage of missiles and drones against Israel. It followed with strikes on US military locations in Bahrain, Kuwait, and Qatar. The United Arab Emirates and Iraq have shut down their airspace.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry issued a combative statement, warning that the government “will not hesitate” to reply. In a statement on X, the ministry said, “The time has come to defend the homeland and confront the enemy’s military assault.”

According to Iran’s state-run IRNA news agency, forty students were murdered at a girls’ school in southern Iran during Israeli-US air attacks. The incident in Minab, Iran’s Hormozgan region, injured at least 45 people.
