The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) of Iran has said that it is still on high alert as the United States brings more naval equipment closer to the Middle East, intensifying already strained ties between the two nations.
Tehran’s threat coincides with US President Donald Trump’s increasingly aggressive language and apparent military repositioning in the area.
Iran Warns US and Israel as Military Tensions Escalate
IRGC commander General Mohammad Pakpour warned Israel and the United States not to make any strategic mistakes, according to Nournews, a local publication quoted by the Associated Press. Pakpour emphasized Iran’s military readiness, emphasizing that the nation’s troops were prepared to act quickly if necessary.
“The Islamic Revolutionary Guards and dear Iran stand more ready than ever, finger on the trigger, to execute the orders and directives of the Commander-in-Chief,” Pakpour, as reported by Nournews, said.
Iran’s message reflects rising worry in Tehran about the relocation of US naval assets as well as the tone of recent statements from Washington.

Trump Signals Preparation for Action
US President Donald Trump has maintained a harsh stance, openly recognizing the deployment of US naval forces closer to Iran. Speaking to reporters on Air Force One on Thursday, Trump stated that the measure was preventive but left the door open for further action.
“We have a massive fleet heading in that direction, and maybe we won’t have to use it,” Trump added, implying that the display of force was designed to prevent escalation while keeping military options open.

US Warships Operating Near the Region
According to the Associated Press, a US Navy officer, speaking on the condition of anonymity due to the delicacy of the mission, confirmed that the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln and accompanying warships were operating in the Indian Ocean as of Thursday.
The deployment of the carrier strike group raises concerns that the impasse would worsen if diplomatic channels fail to resolve tensions. The situation continues tense, with both sides issuing warnings and demonstrating military preparedness, as world attention remains focused on Middle Eastern happenings.
