Imran Khan’s Death Claims
Social media was filled with dubious stories of Imran Khan’s death. The speculation grew after the Baluchistan Ministry of Foreign Affairs accused Pakistan’s spy agency ISI, along with Army Chief Asim Munir, of orchestrating an assassination plan against Khan inside Rawalpindi’s Adyala Jail.
Aleema Khana, Imran Khan’s other sister, also filed a contempt of court petition against the Adiala Jail superintendent and others after being denied permission to meet the imprisoned former prime minister.

Aleema delivered the petition in front of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi and other Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leaders. The petition cited the court’s March 24 order, which restored the seventy-three-year-old’s twice-weekly meeting schedule. He has been held in Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail since August 2023. It stated that Aleema sought contempt proceedings for what she described as the wilful failure to implement the court’s directives, particularly the authorities’ refusal to allow her meeting with Khan.
It further stated that, despite clear orders to allow visits on Tuesdays and Thursdays, the respondents did not comply. According to the petition, Aleema is deeply concerned about her brother’s well-being, legal rights, and humane treatment while there.
Aleema and Afridi participated in a sixteen-hour sit-in that began on Thursday and ended early Friday after being denied permission to meet Khan again.
