ICAI : In Punjab and Jammu, ICAI postpones the CA Final and Intermediate Exams because of flooding and heavy rain.

ICAI: The intermediate and final examinations for chartered accountants that were supposed to take place in Punjab and Jammu City have been rescheduled, according to the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). The decision was taken in reaction to the region’s ongoing rainfall and flood-like conditions.
The tests were first planned on September 3 and 4, 2025. The postponement impacts the applicants from Amritsar, Bathinda, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Mandi Gobindgarh, Pathankot, Patiala, Sangrur, and Jammu City.
The Chartered Accountants Final & Intermediate Examinations, which were originally scheduled for September 3rd and 4th, 2025, have been postponed in Amritsar, Bathinda, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Mandi Gobindgarh, Pathankot, Patiala, and Sangrur (i.e., cities in the State of Punjab) and Jammu City only due to the heavy rainfall and flood situation. A portion of the Institute’s May 30, 2025, Important Announcement No. 13-CA(EXAM)/SEPTEMBER/2025 has been modified.
The ICAI stated in a note that the updated dates would be revealed shortly.
The Important Announcement of May 30, 2025, which was posted on www.icai.org, clarified that other specifics and details will not alter. It further advised the aspirants to visit the Institute’s website at www.icai.org.
The examination timetable doesn’t vary outside of these cities. The final course tests for Group 1 and Group 2 are scheduled for September 3, 6, and 8, respectively, in accordance with the original schedule. Group 1 exams for intermediate students are scheduled for September 4, 7, and 9, while Group 2 exams are scheduled for September 11, 13, and 15.
The remaining final test papers will take three hours to finish, while Paper 6 will take four hours. An extra fifteen minutes will be given to candidates to read the question papers.
ICAI announced
ICAI indicated when it announced the exam postponement that the updated dates would be communicated in due time. It is recommended that candidates keep up with the Institute’s website, icai.org.
The dates of Group 1’s ICAI CA final exam are September 3, 6, and 8, while Group 2’s are September 10, 12, and 14.
September 4, 7, and 9 of 2025 will be the dates of Group 1 of the ICAI CA intermediate test, and September 11, 13, and 15 will be the dates of Group 2.
Paper 6 of the CA final exam takes four hours to finish. However, each of the remaining tests lasts three hours. The test questions will be read by candidates for an extra fifteen minutes.
The CA September 2025 Foundation exams will be administered by the ICAI on September 16, 18, 20, and 22. Papers 3 and 4 of the CA foundation examination will not have any advance reading time, however all other papers and exams will have a 15-minute advance reading period from 1.45 to 2 p.m.
Nine foreign examination cities—Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Thimpu (Bhutan), Doha, Dubai, Kathmandu (Nepal), Kuwait, Muscat, and Riyadh (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia)—will also host the ICAI CA exams in September 2025.
The Institute added that separate notice will be given in due course regarding the updated dates for the postponed exams. It has been recommended that students taking exams in the impacted centers frequently visit the official ICAI website (www.icai.org) for the most recent information and updates.
This weather-based postponement was not related to the initial May 2025 tests, which had already been postponed because of security issues between India and Pakistan.
Groups 1 and 2 will have their final exams on September 3, 6, and 8, 2025, and September 10, 12, and 14, respectively.
The intermediate course exam for Group 1 is set on September 4, 7, and 9, 2025, while the exam for Group 2 is set for September 11, 13, and 15. It takes four hours to do Paper 6 on the Final Exam.
