Guru Tegh Bahadur : On the 350th anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur’s martyrdom, Prime Minister Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah paid their respects. While PM Modi praised Shah’s humanitarian efforts, Shah recalled his fight for Kashmiri Pandits against the Mughals.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Tuesday, the 350th anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur ji’s martyrdom, that the Guru’s sacrifice for the “protection of faith and humanity will forever illuminate our society.”

In a video on X, PM Modi honored Guru Tegh Bahadur’s unmatched bravery and selflessness. We honor Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Ji’s unmatched bravery and selflessness on his 350th Shaheedi Diwas. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, “His martyrdom for the protection of faith and humanity will forever illuminate our society.”

Amit Shah pays Guru Tegh Bahadur

Furthermore, Union Home Minister Amit Shah praised the ninth Sikh Guru, noting how he “struggled for the Kashmiri Pandits, challenged the tyrannical Mughals, and sacrificed everything for the sake of religion.”

“On the 350th martyrdom day of the ninth Guru of Sikhism, ‘Hind Ki Chadar’ Guru Teg Bahadur Ji, I pay my respects and homage to him,” as he said.

“Remembering the saga of sacrifice of Guru Sahib Ji, filled with valour, restraint, sacrifice, and devotion, even today fills the heart with pride and a resolve for national defence,” according to the minister.

Meanwhile, the three-day ‘Gurmat Samagam’, which started on November 23, will end on November 25. According to Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur is being observed across the country with tremendous devotion, veneration, and enthusiasm.
