According to authorities, the fire caused by the event was soon extinguished, and no casualties were reported. Emergency reaction personnel were dispatched swiftly to protect the area and handle the incident.

Flights to and from Dubai were momentarily suspended as a precaution as authorities reviewed the situation and maintained the airport’s safety, which is one of the world’s busiest international aviation hubs.

The move comes amid rising regional tensions and a spate of missile and drone attacks in Gulf states tied to the ongoing struggle between Iran, the US, and Israel.

Officials stated the situation at the airport is being continuously monitored, and additional updates will be issued as needed. Dubai Civil Defence teams stated that the situation is under control, with no further spread of the fire.

Dubai International Airport : Flights suspended as a precaution.

The Dubai Civil Aviation Authority stated that flights at the airport were momentarily halted as a safety precaution.

“The Dubai Civil Aviation Authority has announced the temporary suspension of flights at Dubai International Airport as a precautionary step to safeguard the safety of all passengers and personnel. Travellers should contact their respective airlines for the most up-to-date flight information. Further information will be published via official channels as soon as they are available,” the Dubai Media Office stated on X.

Travellers were encouraged to contact airlines for information while authorities monitored the situation. Officials stated safety precautions had been implemented in the region to protect homes, workers, and airport operations.

The incident occurred during the continuing crisis between Iran, the US, and Israel.

According to officials, Iran has launched over 1,800 missiles and drones at the United Arab Emirates since the conflict began, making it one of the primary targets. Most projectiles were intercepted by air defence systems.
