Donald Trump, the President of the United States, has said that he will go to China in April to meet with Xi Jinping, the President of China. Trump is also likely to come back to the US later this year. Speaking to reporters on Thursday, Trump discussed the planned events but did not provide specific dates for the trip.

“I intend to pay President Xi Jinping a visit in April.” He will be visiting later this year, which I am looking forward to. Our relationship with China is currently very positive. Trump highlighted the upcoming trip once more in a recent interview with Tom Llamas of NBC News. “I’m gonna be going there in April then he’s coming here toward the end of the year,” Trump said.

According to a statement from China’s Foreign Ministry, Xi urged both countries to work toward “win-win results” based on mutual respect, and asked the US to reverse steps that China considers detrimental.
