And it was necessary to make me happy.” He also delivered a direct warning about trade ramifications, saying, “They do trade. And we can put tariffs on them very fast, which would be disastrous for them.”
Remarks on Global Economic Conditions
Trump did not limit his statements to India alone. He criticized global economic conditions, stating that “the Russian economy is lousy.” But what’s really bad is Venezuela’s economy. “I think the Venezuelan economy is the worst I’ve ever seen.” The remarks come as India is recalibrating how it discloses oil imports during crucial negotiations with Washington.
