According to The Balochistan Post, dozens of women and children protested, demanding justice and the immediate handover of the deceased’s remains to his kin.
According to The Balochistan Post, the victim, 24-year-old student Hamdan Baloch, son of Muhammad Ali and inhabitant of Golimar, was allegedly kidnapped weeks before his murder.
His father told journalists that Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) agents detained his son on December 29 at the Dhobi Ghat Bridge without a warrant.

CTD officials later convened a press briefing on January 6, claiming that Hamdan had been apprehended in Raees Goth for suspected links to an armed organization.
The family denied this version, claiming he was already in state custody and the claims were false.
Relatives claimed they followed legal procedures and attended court hearings, expecting Hamdan to be transferred to jail custody following his planned appearance.
However, in a later statement, CTD claimed he was murdered after an armed exchange, stating that he was shot by his own associates.
The father questioned the explanation’s reliability, claiming that it was consistent with past problematic encounter accounts.
The family said that after identifying Hamdan’s body, they were denied custody.
They claimed Edhi officials warned them that release required CTD authorisation and accused authorities of forcing them to sign a document branding him a terrorist in exchange for handover.
The Balochistan Post said that the family denied the demand.
The group urged that criminal charges be filed against the cops involved, as well as an independent autopsy and a transparent judicial investigation.
According to The Balochistan Post, protesters have warned that if accountability is not provided, demonstrations will get more intense in the coming days.
