India is prepared to welcome Russian President Vladimir Putin, who is scheduled to arrive in New Delhi this evening. He will be accompanied by his chosen state car, the Aurus Senat limousine, which he has always used on his abroad trips. The Aurus Senat is Russia’s official presidential vehicle. It is intended as a fortress on wheels and has long been employed to defend the Russian President, drawing comparisons to a Rolls Royce.
Built by Aurus Motors
Aurus Motors produces the limousine in Moscow. The company originated in two thousand eighteen as a state-backed manufacturer of presidential limousines and went public in two thousand twenty one. It has produced luxurious limousines for various world leaders, notably Turkmenistan’s Serdar and Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow.

Price, Performance, and Features
According to the Moscow Times, the Aurus Senat costs over 50 million roubles, which is around 617,000 USD or Rs 5.6 crore. It is driven by a 4.4-liter V8 engine that produces 598 brake horsepower and 880 newton meters of torque. A V12 variant with eight hundred fifty brake horsepower is also available.
The interior has leather seats, ambient lighting, and fine wooden trim. Fire suppression and air filtering systems are included as safety features.
A relationship between India and PM Modi
The car last gained notice in India in August of this year, when Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Vladimir Putin were spotted driving in an Aurus Senat during bilateral talks in Tianjin, China, while attending the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation conference.
Putin will visit India on December 4 and 5, meeting with many Indian officials. Prime Minister Modi will invite him to a special luncheon shortly after his arrival in New Delhi.

- Protection against missile and drone strikes, including layers engineered to withstand blasts.
- The capacity to stay afloat if it encounters water and continue running until it reaches safety
- Run flat capability enables high-speed driving even with damaged tyres.
- A separate air filtering system to safeguard against chemical agents.

The automobile also retains great performance with a four-point four-litre twin turbo V8 hybrid engine that accelerates from zero to one hundred kilometers per hour in around six to nine seconds and has a top speed of around one hundred and sixty kilometers per hour. The lodge features handcrafted wood panels, climate control, and secure communications.
