Yemeni Foreign Minister Afrah Al-Zouba stated that the Houthis are seeking to transform the Bab al-Mandeb Strait into a strategic pressure point, akin to Iran’s exploitation of the Strait of Hormuz. According to him, the gang intends to gain political and military clout by endangering one of the world’s busiest shipping lanes.
