In a post on X, US Southern Command stated that intelligence revealed the vessel was transiting along established “narco-trafficking routes” in the eastern Pacific and engaging in “narco-trafficking operations”.
“On May 30, under the instruction of #SOUTHCOM commander Gen. Francis L. Donovan, Joint Task Force Southern Spear carried out a lethal kinetic strike on a vessel controlled by Designated Terrorist Organizations. According to intelligence, the vessel was traveling recognized narco-trafficking channels in the Eastern Pacific and participated in narco-trafficking operations.
“Three male narco-terrorists were killed during this operation.” “No US military forces were harmed,” US Southern Command stated.
US Military Strike Previous
The US Army stated on Friday that it had struck a boat suspected of trafficking cocaine in the eastern Pacific Ocean, killing three individuals.
The military released a video of the strike on X, which showed a boat floating in the ocean before being attacked and engulfed by fire.
In a similar event, the US military struck another vessel suspected of smuggling drugs in the eastern Pacific Ocean on Wednesday (May 27), killing two people.

The incident occurred a day after American forces conducted a hit on a suspected narcotics vessel in the eastern Pacific, with Southern Command reporting that one individual was killed.
The Trump administration’s assault against alleged drug-trafficking vessels in Latin American waters, including the eastern Pacific and the Caribbean Sea, has killed more than 200 people in all.
Growing Security Campaign and Eastern Pacific Strike
Because of its involvement in worldwide drug trafficking, the eastern Pacific has emerged as a key source of concern for US security authorities. American authorities have boosted monitoring, intelligence collection, and military activities in the region as part of a larger campaign to weaken cocaine smuggling networks.
