Dubai missile debris : Debris from a missile intercepted by the UAE’s air defence systems hit the façade of a building in central Dubai on Saturday, according to authorities.
This is the second such event in Dubai in as many days.
“Authorities verified that the incident, which was caused by debris from a successful interception striking a building in central Dubai, has been completely contained. “There was no fire, and no injuries were reported,” the Dubai Media Office stated in a statement on X.
Iran has regularly targeted Dubai, the UAE’s largest city, since the ongoing Middle East conflict began on February 28. Tehran has reacted against the US-Israeli strikes by hitting both Israel and the Gulf countries that host American military sites.
On Friday, a skyscraper in Dubai’s business sector was injured by debris from another foiled attack.
Authorities confirmed that the incident caused by debris from a successful interception, which struck the façade of a building in central Dubai, has been fully contained. No fire occurred and no injuries were reported.

Two witnesses told AFP that they saw damage at the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) after hearing ‘loud fringe’. Authorities later reported that debris from a successful missile interception had impacted the façade of a building in “central Dubai”.
A drone dropped near DIFC on Thursday, a day after Tehran threatened to strike US and Israeli-linked banks and other economic institutions in response to a purported attack on an Iranian bank.
During the ongoing Middle East battle, the UAE’s air defences have intercepted almost 1,500 Iranian drones and approximately 300 missiles, considerably outnumbering any other country targeted by Iran.

Following the incidents, Abu Dhabi Police arrested 45 persons, including foreign nationals, for filming and “spreading misinformation” about the attacks. Residents have received SMS warnings alerting them that sharing sensitive photographs or publishing inaccurate information could result in legal action.

Dubai officials reported numerous small incidents involving debris and drones, none of which resulted in casualties. Civil Defence teams moved promptly to examine and manage each issue.
