The statement comes as the United States strengthens its military presence in the region, raising concerns about a bigger clash with Iran.
According to information provided by Pentagon authorities, hundreds of personnel have been transferred from the Al Udeid facility in Qatar.
Similar logistical movements have been observed across a network of American installations in Bahrain, home to the Navy’s 5th Fleet, as well as Iraq, Syria, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and the United Arab Emirates.

Government officials are allegedly concerned that the 30,000 to 40,000 US troops now stationed in the region will be the prime target of the Islamic Republic in the event of an all-out conflict.
Military specialists consulted on the topic said that such a clash would be far different from the strike on Al Udeid in June 2025, when Iranian authorities gave the US advanced notice.
According to the Jerusalem Post, the Iranian delegation to the UN issued a harsh warning that, in the event of an American attack, ”all bases, installations, and assets of the hostile army in the region would constitute legal targets.”
In view of these threats, the United States is apparently strengthening its regional posture by deploying air defence systems to the Middle East to protect its forces and interests.
This defensive buildup is accompanied by a determination to keep two aircraft carriers at a great distance from Iranian territory to avoid becoming easy targets for reprisal.

Speaking to reporters on Thursday, the US President stated, “We’re either going to get a deal, or it’s going to be unfortunate for them… 10-15 days would be enough time.”
