President Donald Trump of the United States has warned Iran that “it’s going to be unfortunate” if they do not come to an agreement on the nuclear deal within ten to fifteen days.

In an interview with reporters, the US president said, “We’re either going to get a deal, or it’s going to be unfortunate for them… 10-15 days would be enough time.”

Earlier, at the Board of Peace, Trump echoed the same threats: “Now is the time for Iran to join us on a path that will complete what we’re doing.” And if they join us, it will be fantastic. If they do not join us, that is fine as well. But it will be a totally different route.”

He insisted that Tehran could not continue to destabilise the region.”They cannot continue to endanger the stability of the entire area. And they must strike a bargain. If that does not happen, horrible things will happen,” the US President stated.

In June of last year, the United States launched a 12-day war on Iran, striking military and nuclear targets around the country.

According to a report in the New York Times, the US military buildup in West Asia includes dozens of refuelling tankers rushed to the region by US Central Command, more than 50 additional fighter jets, and two aircraft carrier strike groups, complete with destroyers, cruisers, and submarines.

The aircraft carrier USS Gerald R Ford approached Gibraltar on Wednesday, on its route to join the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln in the region, according to the New York Times.

Over the last month, the US military has deployed air defences in the West Asian region, including Patriot missile defence and Terminal High Altitude Area Defence (THAAD) systems capable of intercepting Iranian ballistic missiles.
