Trump has invited India to join the Board of Peace

Earlier, US President Donald Trump has invited India to join the Board of Peace.

The invitation came as the US administration formalized the “Board of Peace” organization, which is tied to Trump’s broader Gaza agenda. The White House has released the list of appointees to the “Board of Peace,” which will supervise the second phase of his 20-Point Peace Plan to end the Gaza conflict. The names included US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, Trump’s special envoy Steve Witkoff, World Bank President Ajay Banga, and Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner, according to a White House statement.

The list also includes Apollo Global Management CEO Marc Rowan and US Deputy National Security Advisor Robert Gabriel.

The White House outlined the roles and responsibilities of the initiative, stating that “Executive Board members will oversee defined portfolios critical to Gaza’s stabilization and long-term success, including but not limited to governance capacity-building, regional relations, reconstruction, investment attraction, large-scale funding, and capital mobilisation.”With Trump as Chairman of the Board of Peace, he has selected Aryeh Lightstone and Josh Gruenbaum as senior advisors in charge of day-to-day strategy and operations, as well as converting the Board’s mandate and diplomatic priorities into disciplined execution.

As part of the plan’s administrative structure, Nickolay Mladenov, an Executive Board member, will serve as the High Representative for Gaza, acting as the on-the-ground liaison between the Board of Peace and the National Committee for the Administration of Gaza (NCAG).

The White House described the NCAG as a significant component of phase two, stating that it is a critical step forward in implementing Phase Two of his Comprehensive Plan to End the Gaza Conflict, a 20-point road map for long-term peace, stability, reconstruction, and prosperity in the region.

According to the White House statement, Ali Sha’ath, a widely respected technocratic leader, will lead the NCAG in restoring core public services, rebuilding civil institutions, and stabilizing daily life in Gaza, all while laying the groundwork for long-term, self-sustaining governance.

Along with governance and reconstruction preparations, the statement detailed security arrangements to ensure stability. Furthermore, to establish security, maintain peace, and create a long-term terror-free environment, Major General Jasper Jeffers has been appointed Commander of the International Stabilisation Force (ISF), where he will lead security operations, support comprehensive demilitarization, and ensure the safe delivery of humanitarian aid and reconstruction materials, according to the White House.

The announcement also included members of the Gaza Executive Board, including Blair, Kushner, Witkoff, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, Qatari ambassador Ali Al Thawadi, and others.
