Border 2 Collection : Sunny Deol Starrer Loses Pace in Second Week

Sunny Deol’s Border 2, which debuted on the eve of Republic Day in India, experienced a significant drop in earnings during its second week. The film’s total domestic profits stand at Rs 294.25 crore. On Monday (February 2), the film posted its first single-digit earnings day. The figures gradually fell throughout the week.

Analyzing Statistics

Sacnilk reported that the film made Rs 3.35 crore on Thursday.

Border 2 earned Rs 224.25 crore in its first week, thanks to the prolonged Republic Day weekend.

Border 2 experienced another increase in its second weekend, with Sunday accounting for the majority of the total. The figures were Rs 10.75 crore on Friday and Rs 17.75 crore on Saturday. On Sunday, the film grossed Rs 22.5 crore.

Monday, Republic Day, was the film’s largest single-day take to date, totaling Rs 59 crore.

Border 2 has already overtaken Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar in terms of opening weekend figures.

Taran Adarsh said in his most recent report that the film grossed Rs 300 crore at the domestic box office after its second weekend.

Border 2 grossed ₹36.5 Cr on Saturday and ₹54.5 Cr on Sunday, up from ₹30 Cr on its first day. The first Monday was higher at ₹59 Cr due to the Republic Day 2026 holiday, but Tuesday plummeted to ₹20 Cr.

Week two began with ₹10.75 Cr on Friday, then increased to ₹17.75 Cr on Saturday and ₹22.5 Cr on Sunday. Monday and Tuesday brought ₹5.75 Cr, while Wednesday brought ₹4.15 Cr. Early estimates place day 14, the second Thursday, at ₹3.35 crore.

According to film critic Saibal Chatterjee, “Border 2 does a good job of extolling the exceptional bravery of the soldiers it depicts while probing, if only superficially, the vulnerabilities and mental swings that make them human and believable.” Separations, bereavements, hopes, concerns, and suspicions punctuate the drama in which lives are put at risk and heroic feats are executed in an instant.”
