US President Donald Trump established his Board of Peace to lead attempts to maintain a ceasefire in Israel’s war with Hamas, and he stated that working with the Board of Peace will benefit the United Nations. He stated that the United Nations has enormous potential but has yet to realize it.
The United Nations has immense potential, however they have not lived up to it: Donald Trump
“I’m not sure I want that, but it’s going to be excellent for Gaza, and maybe other things as well, so it may be more than that. In addition, we plan to collaborate with the UN. I’ve always said that the United Nations has enormous potential, but they’ve failed to realize it. I mentioned eight wars, and I never spoke with them. You would think I’d talked to them a lot. However, the United Nations has significant potential. I believe that collaborating with the Board of Peace will be beneficial to the United Nations.

When asked if he interacts with Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado, Trump replied, “Yes, I did… We have an excellent friendship. She’s a good, nice woman. She has been through a lot, but I will tell you that they are doing an excellent job in Venezuela. So that’s fascinating. I can get along with both sides. I get along with everyone except the media. The bogus news is that I don’t get along, although I get along with everyone…”
Donald Trump claims that Venezuela is not doing well because of what has been going on for years.
He goes on to say, “First and foremost, we must raise a significant amount of money. We need to get that back. Right now, they (Venezuela) are not living well as a result of what has happened over the years. It’s been years of socialism and worse. But we’re going to start drilling soon. We have the largest firms in the globe. We have them, and they are heading in. They’re all negotiating now… It will provide significant revenue for both the United States and Venezuela. It will also drive down oil prices even further. Prices are falling rapidly, especially for food and just about everything. They are starting to come down even more…”

Donald Trump at Davos seeks momentum for the future of Gaza Strip.
In his speech at the World Economic Forum, Donald Trump attempted to generate momentum for a project to design out a future for the war-torn Gaza Strip, which has been overshadowed this week, first by his threats to grab Greenland, then by a sudden retreat from that effort. “This isn’t the United States, this is for the world,” he remarked. He continued: “I think we can spread it out to other things as we succeed in Gaza.”
The occasion featured Ali Shaath, the head of Gaza’s new, future technocratic government, stating that the Rafah border crossing will be open in both ways starting next week. That comes after Israel announced in early December that it would open the crossing between Gaza and Egypt, but has yet to follow through.

Shaath, a Gaza-based engineer and former Palestinian Authority official, is in charge of the Palestinian committee that will rule the enclave under US supervision. The new peace board was originally intended to be a small group of international leaders overseeing the truce, but it has grown into something far more ambitious, and skepticism about its membership and authority has caused those countries closest to Washington to withdraw.

Trump attempted to avoid letting those who did not participate ruin his unveiling celebration, claiming that 59 countries had signed on to the board — despite the fact that only 19 countries, including the United States, sent heads of state, top diplomats, and other officials. He addressed the gathering, which included Azerbaijan, Paraguay, and Hungary, “You’re the most powerful people in the world.”
Trump has previously suggested that the Board of Peace could one day replace certain UN functions, potentially rendering the organization redundant. However, during discussions on the sidelines of the Davos meeting, he adopted a more conciliatory tone toward the United Nations.
