United States :The US removed airspace restrictions over the Caribbean late on Saturday, following a military operation to seize Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro.

Maduro and his wife were flown to New York City by helicopter, where they are charged with drug trafficking and gun possession.

After a predawn attack that devastated targets in and around Caracas, the capital of Venezuela, they were apprehended by US special forces late on Saturday.

 United States Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy stated

The initial restrictions will be lifted at 12:00 a.m. (0500 GMT), allowing flights to start as scheduled, according to a tweet made by US Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy on social media platform X.

“Airlines are informed, and will update their schedules quickly,” said Duffy.

The US Federal Aviation Administration warned commercial airlines to avoid Caribbean airspace on Saturday because of a “potentially hazardous situation.”

The warning stated that “safety-of-flight risks associated with ongoing military activity” were the reason for the closure.
