AIIMS New Delhi : The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi is accepting online applications from qualified applicants for the positions of Junior Residents for the January 2026 session. The job is open in several specialties at level 10 of the pay matrix (pre-revised pay band-3, Rs15,600/- + 5400/-(GP)), with an entry salary of Rs 56,100 per month and customary allowances as applicable. Interested and qualified candidates who desire to apply for the position must do so before December 19, 2025, 5 pm.
Eligibility for AIIMS New Delhi
- To apply for the position, candidates must have completed an MBBS/BDS (including an internship) or an equivalent degree accepted by MCI/DCI.
- Only candidates who have completed MBBS/BDS (including internship) no earlier than three years before the commencement date of Junior Residency, January 1, 2026, shall be considered. It means that only candidates who finished an MBBS/BDS or comparable course (including residency) between January 1, 2023 and December 31, 2025 will be considered.
- DMC/DDC registration is required before joining if chosen.
- Those who joined Junior Residency at the AIIMS and had their services terminated due to illegal absence or any other disciplinary/ground shall be ineligible.

All qualifying candidates are permitted a maximum of three terms. AIIMS graduates will be given preference when it comes to postings. Candidates who have completed three terms of Junior Residency, whether at AIIMS or elsewhere, will not be considered.
Counselling methods
- The Junior Residency will be granted first to all AIIMS, New Delhi MBBS graduates who meet the above eligibility requirements.
- AIIMS, New Delhi MBBS graduates will be evaluated on the basis of their overall performance in the I, II, and final Professional examinations.
- All Junior Resident positions that remain vacant after being assigned to AIIMS, New Delhi MBBS graduates will be offered to other candidates.
- The merit order of these candidates (non-AIIMS, New Delhi MBBS graduates) will be determined by their position in the INI-CET PG Entrance Examination for the January 2026 session. Candidates who did not take the INI-CET PG Entrance Examination in the January 2026 session will be rated in order of merit.
