BPSC AEDO Exam : In January 2026, the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) will hold a recruitment exam for Assistant Education Development Officers (AEDOs). The commission declared that it had received 9.7 lakh applications for 935 positions, the most in its history. During the last five days of registration, BPSC received between 75,000 and 85,000 applications every day on average.
The official announcement claims that despite the high volume of traffic, candidates had no trouble using the website to apply.

The roles are on a Level 5 pay scale (Rs 29,200), which may be changed. Of the entire 935 slots, 319 are earmarked for women.

BPSC AEDO 2025 Recruitment: Selection Procedure
Candidates will be chosen based on an objective-type written exam. There will be three papers, each lasting two hours and worth 100 points.
The first paper will assess candidates’ proficiency in both English and Hindi, with English accounting for 70% of the questions. The second and third papers will focus on General Studies and General Aptitude.
