Morgan Geyser : Authorities said on Sunday that a Wisconsin woman who admitted to almost killing a classmate with a knife in 2014 in order to appease the online horror figure Slender Man is missing after she turned off an electronic monitoring device and left a group home.

Morgan Geyser, now 23, was last seen with an adult acquaintance at approximately 8 p.m. on Saturday, according to a Madison police alert on Sunday.
The message stated, “If you see Geyser, please call 911,” and that she had severed a “Department of Corrections monitoring bracelet.”

This year, Geyser was given restricted release from the Winnebago Mental Health Institute and placed in a group home. In order to avoid going to jail, she entered a guilty plea to attempted first-degree intentional homicide in 2018 and was transferred to the mental health facility.
Tony Cotton, Geyser’s lawyer, encouraged Geyser to turn herself up on Sunday, saying he had no idea what had happened to his client.
Cotton stated, “It’s in her best interest for her to turn herself in immediately and not continue with this course of action,” in an Instagram video clip in which he occasionally spoke directly to Geyser. “We don’t know any of the facts about what happened or who might have assisted her.”
Authorities claim that following a sleepover, Geyser and her companion Anissa Weier, who were both 12 years old, enticed their classmate Payton Leutner to a suburban Milwaukee park. Weier encouraged Geyser as she repeatedly stabbed Leutner. Leutner just about made it.
The girls then admitted to detectives that they had attacked Leutner in order to gain the privilege of serving Slender Man, and they were afraid that if they didn’t succeed, he would hurt their families.

In 2009, Eric Knudson created Slender Man online as a mystery entity that was photo-edited into commonplace pictures of kids having fun. With appearances in video games, web fiction, and a 2018 film, he became a well-known boogeyman.
Weier entered a guilty plea to second-degree intentional homicide. In 2021, she was released from the psychiatric facility.
