NWR Railways Recruitment 2025: On October 3, 2025, the North Western Railway (NWR) began the registration procedure for 898 apprentice vacancies. Candidates having an ITI (National Trade Certificate) can apply for the positions through the railways’ official website, nwr.indianrailways.gov.in.

Eligibility requirements

The candidate’s age should not exceed 24 years. These vacancies allow for an age relaxation of up to 5 years for Scheduled Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates and three years for OBC candidates. Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBd) are entitled to a 10-year relaxation.

You must obtain a National Trade Certificate (NCT) in the specific trade issued by the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) or the State Council for Vocational Training (SCVT) and a minimum of 50% marks in Class 10. All candidates, save SC/ST, PwBd, and women, are required to pay an application fee of Rs. 100.

Selection

Candidates will be chosen based on their Class 10 grades and an Industrial Training Institute (ITI) certificate, after which a merit list will be generated. The final merit list is organized by division/unit, trade, and community. Candidates whose names appear on the merit list will be asked to visit their respective divisions/units for medical examination and document verification.

The registration number that candidates acquire when they submit their applications will be used for the engagement process/correspondence with the Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC).
