IAF Chief Recalls Operation Sindoor, Says World Saw India’s Air Power Firsthand

Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh, the leader of the Indian Air Force, stated that the force stands ready to respond to any situation as global security conditions change. On Thursday, he spoke at the 94th Air Force Day festivities at Hindan Air Base in Uttar Pradesh, recalling the IAF’s performance during Operation Sindoor.

Singh claimed that the military action provided the world with a firsthand picture of India’s air power and air defence capabilities. He cited the incident as evidence of the force’s capacity to respond when necessary.

The IAF head stated that the service recognises its obligations as the guardian of air power and is “alert, committed, and ready” for any eventuality. He also emphasised that modern aircraft and technology alone do not determine an air force’s power.

Singh believes that operational preparation is equally vital. He stated that an air force’s true capacity may be measured by how quickly and confidently it acts when called upon.

Operation Sindoor Highlighted at Air Force Day Event

While reflecting on Operation Sindoor, Singh stated that the world saw India’s destructive capability and air defence activities during the armed battle with Pakistan.

He also mentioned the phrase “infallible, impervious, and precise,” claiming it is more than a tagline. In his speech, he connected the words to the might and dedication of the Indian Air Force.

Singh stated that the Indian Air Force’s operational capacity and preparedness are improving. He emphasised the force’s ethos of ownership and accountability, citing air warriors as its core strength.

The Air Force chief also emphasised the importance of commanders in developing leadership throughout the organization. He stated that tasks are efficiently delegated to facilitate decision-making, and leadership skills are being fostered among air fighters.

Operation Sindoor Recalled Alongside IAF Readiness

Singh advised personnel to be proud of their roles and obligations. He emphasised that every member of the force should be resolved not to become a weak link, no matter how severe the conditions.

Several past IAF leaders attended the 94th Air Force Day at Hindan Air Base. The celebrations also included a static exhibition of key aircraft, helicopters, weaponry, and air defence equipment on the tarmac.

The Rafale, Su-30 MKI, and Jaguar fighter aircraft were on show. The LCH Prachand and ALH Dhruv helicopters, as well as crucial weapon and air defence systems, were also on display.

Singh’s remarks focused the Air Force Day celebration on operational readiness and the contributions of air warriors, while his reference to Operation Sindoor underlined the IAF’s recent military experience and air defence operations.
