UAE Weather: Temperatures Could Reach 47°C as Fog Risk Continues

UAE weather is expected to remain hot on Sunday, with temperatures forecast to climb as high as 47°C in some areas. Humidity will stay high overnight, while fog or mist could form in parts of the country, especially coastal and inland areas in the west.

According to the National Center of Meteorology, conditions will be largely pleasant, however some eastern districts may have partially overcast skies. Winds will be light to moderate, blowing from the southeast to the northeast at 10 to 20 km/h and occasionally reaching 30 km/h.

Liwa is predicted to be the hottest, with temperatures reaching 47°C. Al Ain could experience 45°C, while Abu Dhabi is expected to hit 44°C. Dubai and Sharjah may experience temperatures of 42°C, while Fujairah is anticipated to be cooler at 34°C.

Humidity will be present in several sections of the country. Liwa, Al Ruwais, and Al Sila might have relative humidity levels of up to 90%. Abu Dhabi’s humidity level might reach 85 percent, while Dubai’s could be around 80 percent.

UAE Weather: Humidity and Fog Risk to Continue

The damp weather is anticipated to continue as the new week begins. Fog or mist may form overnight and early in the morning in some coastal and interior areas.

On Monday, September 21, the weather is anticipated to be pleasant to partly cloudy. Clouds may form over eastern areas, with the risk of convective clouds forming in the afternoon.

Humidity is expected to rise overnight and into Tuesday morning. Some coastal and rural areas, especially in the west, may suffer fog or mist. Winds may possibly develop stronger at times, gusting to 35 km/h.

The Arabian Gulf could experience modest to moderate conditions on Monday, while the Oman Sea is forecast to stay mild.

Fair to partly overcast weather is expected to continue until Tuesday, September 22. Eastern parts may see convective clouds again in the afternoon, while some coastal areas may have mist overnight and into Wednesday morning.

Winds are forecast to shift from southeast to northwest, reaching 35 km/h. The Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea are expected to stay rather calm.

Weather Outlook Through Wednesday

On Wednesday, September 23, clouds are likely to form across the UAE’s eastern and southern regions. Some of these clouds could convect during the afternoon.

Some coastal and rural locations are predicted to experience increased humidity overnight and into Thursday morning. This could result in another round of mist.

Winds may gust up to 35 km/h again, while weather in the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea are forecast to be mild.

The Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea are also likely to be quiet on Sunday. The high tide in the Arabian Gulf is expected at 6.34pm, followed by a low tide at 3.56am. High tides are forecast in the Oman Sea at 2.19pm and 6.57am, respectively, with low tides at 11.02am and 11.02pm.
