UAE Weather Forecast: Temperatures Could Reach 47°C Before Cooler Weather Arrives

The UAE weather forecast points to another very hot day on Wednesday, with temperatures expected to reach 47°C in some inland areas. Conditions are likely to change later in the week, with higher humidity, fog and mist possible before temperatures begin to fall on Sunday.

According to the National Center of Meteorology (NCM), Wednesday will be fair to partly overcast throughout the country. Winds will be mild to moderate in general, but they may pick up at times.

UAE Weather Forecast for Wednesday

Inland locations will have the hottest weather, with temperatures ranging from 43°C to 47°C. High temperatures in coastal areas and islands will range from 39°C to 44°C, while temperatures in the mountains will remain lower at 30°C to 36°C.

In hilly locations, minimum temperatures may drop as low as 23°C. In some areas of the country, humidity levels may reach 85%.

Wind speeds are forecast to range from 10 to 25km/h, with gusts up to 35km/h. The Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea will continue to have light seas.

According to the NCM, the weather is impacted by weak surface pressure systems and an extension of an upper-air high-pressure system.

Fog and Mist Possible Later This Week

On Thursday, the weather is anticipated to be fair to partly cloudy. However, humidity will rise overnight and into Friday morning, especially along some coastal areas where mist may form.

The likelihood of fog or mist will rise again from Friday nite into Saturday am. As humidity rises, certain coastal and inland regions may have poor visibility, with winds gusting up to 35km/h.

Weather conditions may change again on Saturday. Convective clouds are expected to form over eastern areas this afternoon, according to the NCM. Winds may increase in strength, reaching 40km/h.

Fog or mist could also return overnight on Saturday and continue into Sunday morning over some coastal and inland locations.

Temperatures Expected to Fall on Sunday

Sunday is predicted to be a notable difference, with temperatures dropping. Clouds are expected to form over eastern parts, delivering cooler conditions after the extreme heat earlier this week.

Humidity will persist overnight and into Monday morning, particularly over western locations. This could lead to more fog or mist.

On Sunday, winds may gust to 35 km/h, and sea conditions in the Arabian Gulf may range from slight to moderate at times.

As a result, temperatures are forecast to continue high throughout the middle and late part of the week, with a dip beginning on Sunday.
