Bahrain Condemns Iranian Attack on UAE, Calls for Urgent UN Action

Bahrain condemns Iranian attack on UAE after Iran carried out a drone attack on the country on Monday. Bahrain described the incident as a serious violation of the UAE’s sovereignty and said such hostile actions pose a threat to security and stability across the region.

Following the attack, the Bahraini government announced its full support for the UAE. It stated that the UAE has the right to take appropriate precautions to protect its territory, citizens, and inhabitants.

Bahrain Condemns Iranian Attack on UAE

Bahrain’s Foreign Ministry sharply condemned the Iranian bombing, claiming it breached international law. The ministry also cited the UN Charter and United Nations Security Council Resolution 2817 (2026), claiming that Iran’s activities were incompatible with these international obligations.

Bahrain further related the incident to the importance of regional countries upholding good neighborly relations values. It cautioned that unfriendly activities could exacerbate tensions and pose broader threats to regional security.

During the most recent episode, the Kingdom made it plain that it stands in solidarity with the UAE. Bahrain stated that it supports the UAE’s steps to safeguard its sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The statement further highlighted the need of protecting UAE residents. Bahrain said its assistance extends to both UAE citizens and residents.

Bahrain Calls on UN Security Council to Act

Bahrain expressed support for the UAE while also renewing its request to the United Nations Security Council. The Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs encouraged the council to fulfilll its obligations and take immediate and effective measures in response to Iran’s activities.

Bahrain demanded that Iran follow international law and respect the UN Charter. It also urged Iran to halt acts that endanger regional peace and stability.

Another concern highlighted by Bahrain was freedom of navigation. The Kingdom urged Iran to respect freedom of travel across the Strait of Hormuz and other major waterways.

The Strait of Hormuz is an important waterway in the region, and Bahrain believes that respecting navigation rights can assist to decrease tensions. It further stated that ensuring regional security requires protecting access to crucial waterways.

Bahrain’s declaration comes as it continues to back the UAE following Monday’s drone attack. The Kingdom stated that international intervention is required to avert such unfriendly actions and to help alleviate regional tensions.
